Croton-Harmon Maintenance Facility and Employee Overpass

This project for Metro-North Railroad included the rehabilitation and upgrade of the Croton-Harmon railroad station yard and related facilities. A portion of this rail yard was rebuilt with new and relocated tracks and associated industrial systems. A total of four new fueling stations were installed in the yard along with two new sanding systems. A new incoming electrical service was installed to feed the yard along with the required ancillary support structures. Upgrading the yard area included the installation of four new electric substations; approximately 19,000 linear feet of electrical ductbank; 6,000 linear feet of water mains and 7,000 linear feet of storm and sanitary piping. In addition, a new employee overpass was constructed from the existing station overpass and spanned over the yard tracks.
