At ECCO III, safety is a guiding value and firm-wide commitment. ECCO III employs a rigorous Corporate Safety and Accident Prevention Program on every project we undertake. We are dedicated to the continuous analysis and refinement of our safety initiatives so we can continue to protect our clients, our employees, and the communities in which we serve.
At ECCO III, safety is always our top priority. We consider Accident Prevention an important and integral part of every operation undertaken.
Through our decades of experience and many lessons learned, we have developed a comprehensive Safety Program that is monitored at the Executive Level.
Our Safety Program ensures all Federal, State, and Local safety regulations and guidelines are followed.
To ensure our safety expectations are met, our Corporate Safety Team performs regular audits of our safety procedures to identify areas of improvements and potential gaps in our Program.
On the onset of all projects undertaken, ECCO III’s priority is to establish a safety-first culture that empowers all team members to champion safety best practices. Our Corporate Safety Culture Plan was created to improve our safety performance and inspire our people to make the best possible decisions in the field. The overarching themes of our Corporate Safety Culture Plan are summarized below.
Every member of our team must commit to honoring the expectations of our Safety Program and take personal accountability to follow safety best practices. Every member of the team has the authority to stop work if safety is at risk.
Safety training is provided to all employees, both on and off the jobsites. Our hands-on Training Program is strategically developed with assistance from our lead foremen and superintendents, and crafted for maximum effectiveness.
ECCO III utilizes a variety of forums, including our Weekly Jobsite Meetings, Toolbox Talks, Safety Stand Downs, and Post-Incident Meetings to communicate safety best practices and reflect on our performance.
All subcontractors are subject to the same training, recognition, and expectations as ECCO III employees. Subcontractors receive safety training and briefings on the first day they are on-site to ensure immediate integration.
ECCO III is proud to be certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC).
This Certification requires that we recognize the importance of and maintain a safety management system, and strive to adhere to the requirement of this system for structural steel erection, bridge erection, metal deck installation, and seismic erection from receipt of contract through successful completion of the work.
ECCO III’s objective is to keep project superintendents, field supervisors, foreman, and all appropriate personnel knowledgeable and informed on this safety management system through proper training.
