This project involved the balance of contract work and numerous corrective works left after default by the original low bid contractor. The work consisted of deck and pier rehabilitation of three (3) overpass structures crossing I-87 in Yonkers, New York. Additional work included guide rail and fence construction; asphalt and drainage installation; miscellaneous electrical lighting and roadway signage. The work involved extensive night operations and lane closures on the New York State Thruway Authority. This project also included the sandblasting and metallization painting of two bridges including Class ‘A’ Containment with an elaborate suspended platform over all lanes of the New York State Thruway Authority.
