This project for the New York State Department of Transportation consisted of the elimination of the Railroad Grade Crossing of Short Clove Road over CSX Railroad, relocation of Short Clove Road including construction of a new intersection and two new bridges, and the reconstruction of Route 9W.

Short Clove Road traffic crossing the CSX Railroad at grade to get to Route 9W was a traffic safety concern that existed for a long time. This project was designed to resolve this issue.

The work for this project included the construction of a soldier pile retaining wall, MSES walls, a T-Wall System, a concrete bridge over the CSX Railroad, a concrete bridge over Riverside Avenue, utility relocations, installation of a new drainage system, and paving.
