Construction Services for the Harmon Facilities and Yard Improvements​

This $13.2 million project for Metro-North Railroad consisted of the rehabilitation of the existing Harmon Main Shop, Material Distribution Center and Maintenance of Way Building.

The Scope of Work for this Project included:

  • Roof replacement & repairs
  • Lead & asbestos abatement
  • New and temporary lighting systems
  • New electrical service
  • Retrofit sprinkler systems
  • Demolition and installation of new skylights
  • Replacing existing skylights with new heat & smoke vents
  • Repairing parapets and masonry
  • Building façade—general repairs and restoration
  • Removing and rehabilitating existing upper roof catwalks and ladders
  • Removal of contaminated waste
  • Full depth paving at the Tie Storage Yard, Wheel Storage Area and Chirico Street
  • Design & Construction of the Wheel Storage Canopy, including bird control netting, concrete pad and ramp
  • The construction of the Maintenance of Way Material Management Area including furnishing and installing: fencing and gates, roadways, parking areas, trailers, utility service and associated work remove abandoned structures on premises.
