This contract provided for the rehabilitation of BIN 1052480, Route 6 over I-84, and BIN 1052562, Ballard Road NB over I-84 in the Towns of Wallkill and Wawayanda, New York.

At the Route 6 site, ECCO III maintained work zone traffic control for staged construction; at the Ballard Road site, a full closure facilitated the construction work.

The scope of work for both locations included: deck removal and replacement with cast-in-place deck; approach slab removal and replacement with cast-in-place approach slab; existing railing removal and replacement with single slope concrete barrier (and pedestrian fence at Route 6); scupper/downspout removal; removal of existing steel rocker bearings and replacement with elastomeric bearings (EB); reconstruction of pedestals; backwall/u-wall reconstruction as necessary; and substructure concrete repairs as necessary.
