Rehabilitation of Alexander Street and Irvington Pumping Stations

This project includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to rehabilitate the Alexander Street and Irvington Pumping Stations within the North Yonkers Sanitary Sewer District, located in the City of Yonkers and the Village of Irvington, New York.

Work at both pumping stations includes comprehensive rehabilitation and selective replacement of major mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural systems. Mechanical improvements include the rehabilitation or replacement of sewage pumps, motors, drives, piping, valves, bar screens, odor control systems, HVAC systems, and associated instrumentation and controls. Electrical upgrades include new lighting, conduit and wiring, electrical distribution equipment, panels, gas and fire detection systems, emergency power systems (including a new emergency generator at the Irvington Pumping Station), and security systems.

Structural and architectural improvements include rehabilitation of floors, walls, windows, roofing systems, and other building components, along with the installation of flood hazard mitigation measures to enhance resiliency and protect critical infrastructure.
