Electrical Project Manager
ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee electrical, communications, and fire alarm disciplines and related subcontractors for complex New York City Transit (NYCT) projects; specifically, for the Broadway Junction Station Complex (MTA Contract A37130).
This individual will oversee all planning and management activities related to the electrical, communications, signal, and fire alarm scopes of work. Responsibilities will include coordinating subcontractors, developing and maintaining schedules, managing resources and payment requisitions, and ensuring effective collaboration with Transit Authority services, A&P, bulletins, and GO planning to achieve successful project delivery.
Prior to construction, this individual will participate in design development and review/interpret bid documents (including plans and specifications) to understand the project scope. The individual will also develop and analyze project schedules related to electrical and communication elements, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, and manage subcontractor shop drawings, procurement requirements, and staffing.
During construction, this individual will oversee the planning and execution of all electrical, communications, and fire alarm construction activities. This includes managing all related correspondences and RFIs with the Subcontractor, Designer, and Owner; managing CPM schedule updates/logic and documenting delays; identifying, documenting, and negotiating extra work with Subcontractors; managing long-lead material procurement; and coordinating with other construction disciplines and Management Staff to ensure seamless integration across all construction disciplines.
After construction, this individual will be responsible for completing project close-out activities including, but not limited to, managing final payments to Subcontractors and Vendors, and closing out all administrative deliverables for an efficient close-out.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will meet most, if not all, of the below criteria:
- Proven experience serving as an Electrical Project Manager on large MTA infrastructure projects
- 10 years of experience on NYCT stations projects
- Working knowledge of NYCT operating groups, standards, and procedures related to electrical, communications, signal, and fire alarm systems in NYCT underground and elevated stations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex coordination challenges/solutions to a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Compliant with all ECCO III safety requirements including completing applicable safety training (i.e. OSHA 30 and NYCT Track Training)
- Compliant with MTA Drug and Alcohol Testing Protocol which includes pre-employment and random drug testing.
The annual salary range for this role is $150,000 to $180,000 in addition to bonus potential, a 401(k) match, health benefits, paid time off, and more.
